Things are getting pink and stripy

. In both my crochet and knitting classes we will be using variegated yarns to jazz up our projects. There are so many yarns to choose from and they really do make working in colour easy. No changing yarns and no weaving in ends!

I'm wearing a cardigan in variegated yarns but it is so old I can't remember what I used. I do know that this is a Rowan pattern.

I bought some of the new self striping yarn from West Yorkshire Spinners. They have just bought out a range inspired Zandra Rhodes. They are very pink and this is the least pink I could find.

Don't forget my next steps in Crochet and next steps in knitting start in early November so if you want to sign up please let me know.

Seafood crochet and and a TV project for a wet dull day

It's a dull old day, just right for doing a bit of knitting or crochet. My projects this week are a baby blanket using West Yorkshire Spinners Bo Peep yarn - scrummy. It's so soft as it contains falkland wool but is washable as well. My TV crochet is a basket weave pattern using up some of my chunky stash. Part of my drive to use up my stash before buying new yarn. I'm also working on my mohair/wenslydale socks using yarn from Whistlebare in Northumberland. The yarn is so warm and they will certainly keep my feet warm. I've postponed my classes, http://www.woollyhattie.co.uk/workshops, but if you are interested in putting you name down for them let me know woolly.hattie@gmail.com so I can let you know dates as soon as I have them.
